RELAY 3S REFRIG
Description
This three-stage, wide-deadband relay module is designed primarily for use with direct expansion compressors in HVAC systems. By using the REE-4019, the refrigeration requirements of a roof top unit may be actuated in three separate steps affording more precise temperature control. (It may also be used for other heating/cooling applications as desired.)
These relay modules are intended for use with the CTE-5003/5013 and CTE-1000 series thermostats, but they may also be used with most 0–6 VDC (or even 0–10 VDC) thermostats. Multiple thermostats may be averaged to control up to three stages of refrigeration/cooling/heating (see the sample illustration on the next page). They may also be controlled by a 0 to 10 VDC output from a DDC or analog controller.
Each output circuit is capable of handling contactors of up to 10 VA @ 24 VAC. The three circuits are calibrated to actuate at equally spaced intervals across the thermostat’s proportional band.
